A home between homes.
A shelter can tell you where a dog came from. A foster home is where you find out who they are. It opens a kennel for the next one, gives this one somewhere quiet to settle, and tells the next family what they’re actually getting.
Sometimes the foster keeps the dog. It happens more than you’d think.
Whiskey, the dog on our label, found his person. Others are still waiting for theirs.
The arrangement

We’d rather show up than make promises. The first was Stray Social No. 01. There will be more.

Humane Rescue Alliance runs D.C.’s shelter, its clinic, its pet pantry, and its cruelty line. They bring the dogs to our events. When you’re ready to foster, adopt, or volunteer, they’re the call to make.
